9-a-side format

Players: Maximum 9 players on the field per team, with 5 interchange players. Teams must match player numbers.

Game Time: Generally two 9-minute halves (2-min break)

Field Size: 48m x 80m.

Ball Size: Size 3.

Tackling: "Safeplay Code" strictly applies. No lifting/driving tackles (lifting above horizontal or for two+ steps).

Play-the-ball: One marker is allowed, but they cannot interfere with the play-the-ball or move until the ball is touched by the first receiver.

Defensive Line: Must retreat 5 metres from the play-the-ball.

Restart: Tap restart from the halfway line after points scored.

Scoring: Tries are 4 points, with no conversions.
